MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- A leading human rights activist was abducted and killed in Russia Wednesday, the organization she worked for told CNN.

She was one of the top Human Rights Activists in the country who told of the atrocities committed in Chechnya.

I will bee keeping a beedy eye open on this story, could kick off in Russia over this. But lets hope im wrong..

I wonder if she was killed by pimps because much of human trafficking inside the former Soviet Union concerns prostitution.

Chechnya has been and continues to be a very dangerous place for journalists, and in fact for just about anybody. The territory is teeming with rebel warlords, general criminals, and hardline local government. There are hundreds of people kidnapped in the region every year, and she no doubt had many enemies there. She chose to continue her work there knowing well enough the dangers and the likely outcome.
