Does this picture say a lot for ATS?

I always see people constantly talking about how others are sheep, while they're sitting on their butts posting on an internet site, not really doing anything to change the state of the world either, at least the other people they declare sheep are actually working or contributing to society...

I hate the term sheeple, its so stupid.

You call someone a sheeple because they think differantly then you. But if everyone thought the same way we would be sheeple.

Yes I mean the picture and no this topic is not a joke, the picture is, although I believe this topic is pretty much truth. All you people are constantly complaining about how sheeple are holding you down but yet here you are sitting on your butts not doing anything to actually change the world, you're just as bad as they are.

I think you can interchange lots of terms with the stated "sheep", like "followers", "non-free thinkers", "gullible" or "led". Consider how backwards the common perception was before our greatest scientific discoveries became accepted as true with the heresy and whatnot. Well we still have a long way to go yet. There are probably better ways to express an opinion than resorting to insults, but you can't blame people for getting frustrated when they keep running up to the same brick wall of false doctrine.

Actually a bunch of folks blogging about it are doing stuff about it! I'm constantly calling senators going to tea parties.I was even a ballot walker so I disagree! The media is awful one sided and it seems to be the only way real info is getting out.

I think your wrong. The war is won in the minds of the people. The people that come here on ATS, but "do nothing", are actually "doing something".

They simply don't believe in the lies anymore, and see events for what they really are.

These people are affecting the mass consciousness, raising the bar, so to speak.

The "sheeple", may be contributing to society, but they are doing nothing to change it, they're even perpetuating it, by believing the lies, and protectecting their masters.

If every "sheep" thought like me, we would've overthrown our governments years ago.

So, jeah, you could say they are holding us back by not taking their lives into their own hands.

This site helps one another confirm our suspicions and fears and helps us exchange knowledge we may not have particularly had on a specific subject. I am sure plenty of people do more than visit this site and shoot the breeze or kill time. Whats disgusting is responding to threads such as this because now we ARE wasting time. But I had a few free minutes so it isnt that big of a deal. Maybe ATS should change its format and let MODS proofread an Original Post instead of allowing any average Joe from posting threads like this one, then ATSers could get more accomplished and would be more informed of the important issues instead of reading duplicate threads or threads about someone who lost their keys or a UFO seen in a Burger Queen drive thru. But thats just how I feel. I am sure the MODS have their hands full and I am NOT criticizing their performance or lack thereof on ATS. Besides in way or another we are all sheeple, just depends on what subject and who you ask.

You're only assuming that people who post here are sitting on their butts and doing nothing further. That's a rather ignorant assumption and premise to in reality base a whole topic on (in the guise of discussing a picture or something). Perhaps this is a projection on your part?

Uh, I think the point of this topic is going WAY over your head, or you're unable to comprehend it.

1) I do not call others sheeple like the vast majority of ATS does
2) I do not believe I am better then anyone else like the vast majority of ATS does.

Mmmm, irony is right.

ATS is a mirror image of real life. It is reality vs fantasy. A good example is that skeptics and other people with scientific approaches are labelled ignorant fools for not taking a dot in a blurry photo as an undeniable proof of aliens. Here people say that people are sheep for following their leaders and protectim them but the same is happening here. For example in real world the "sheep" follow Obama and on ATS they follow Alex Jones..

Actually though it may seem like we are doing nothing, we are getting alot of information out to the people that otherwise would be hidden. So we are doing something rather important if I must say.

Not saying it has to seem important to you, because for alot of people it doesnt, but for us we do feel like we are doing something important. And I dont think we should be knocked down for it.

Am I right in thinking (sorry is this has been said) that this boils down to solipsism? You know, 'I think, therefore I am.' (Renes Descartes). I mean it's when you believe that no one, with exception of oneself, is capable of the art that is thinking; When the people around you are only showing emotion but not actually feeling it; when you believe that you are the only one and everything else in existence is a part of your own imagination.

Cartoons about this sort of stuff are always interesting. Hehe, I got so wrapped up in talking about solipsism that I forgot why I was here!

Anyway, I reckon that, although Descates is a hero of mine, Solipsism is flawed. Basically if I say "I am the only person that is capable of emotion and every one else are merely my puppets." and then you say "But I am capable of feeling and YOU are the puppet." and both of us truly believe that we are the only ones truly alive, we either both do not exist but, seeing as how we know that we do (in whatever form), we both exist and therefore everyone and everything does too.

The OP has his opinions...I was pretty sure ATS is into that whole free speech thing. I think IMO that honesty is the key especially if we can be honest with ourselves.

Me? I don't believe most of what is said here outside of the major CT's. I do believe the goverment has some thumbs in some pies but I have a hard believeing Obama is the antichrist or Bush is a reptilian or whatever.

Now as to what you said above, I don't think this thread is a waste of time. A poster thinks that all the talk with no action is wsting time. Well in a way I sort of agree with each side. On one hand we are getting information out. That is a good thing so in that I disagree with OP. On the other hand I sit and listen over and over about revolutions starting here and honestly I don't think most of use here would actually get up and do it.

That isn't an insult either because I know I sure wouldn't. I do believe there is a bit of excess paranoia in sites like this simply by virtue of who ATS attracts. Again it isn't an insult because fear is what breeds action. One of the best ways to control a fear is to confront it. I am arachnaphobic and severely so. I went to CBT (a type of therapy) and faced spiders and finally after some time I am mostly healed. Well these people on ATS fear NWO and so they are facing it.

The nice thing is that even if I don't believe them and they turn out to be wrong, at least they spent a good deal of time researching and learning life.

I love this place no matter how much I disagree with alot of its content
