Egads, I gave that up too - fish and sex. And pork.

Guess that explains why I hang out so much in the freezer section at the grocery store.

lol i didn't give up sex, just selectively who i have it with, this is where i kinda "lean to my own understanding" one might say, but in the kingdom of God there is no marriage, I do not lust though, I have only been with like 4-5 girls since i was 18 and most of them were pretty serious things.....

Agreed - I struggle with my old baggage - and it's heavy.

But I know God uses tests and trials to strengthen our faith so that is my lifeline.

I wonder if He allows a 'Call a friend'?

I dunno - to me, it's all pretty much overrated if you think about it.

And due to my background/baggage it makes me feel uncomfortable.

I just had a thought though - if there is no marriage in Heaven, that means no divorce attorneys !!!

I think He'd allow it, as long as its for the right reason.... but then again you must realize that old baggage, when left out to dry, might get rained on, and then in fact, be heavier to pick up in the future.... but God will give u the strength to pick it up, but will you have the audacity to throw it away again?

With all due respect, whenever I see a thread that states that there is only one way to achieve a desired goal be it Islam, Christianity, or the local voodoo-doctor, I always come up with the same result; hell is going to be a pretty crowded place.

My own personal beliefs are just that, personal. I've been around for quite a few haircuts and I have settled on an understanding that makes sense to me and gives me great comfort. I don't deny anyone else their beliefs but I do know that the path I have chosen is the one that I was meant to find and I don't have to pick any one specific day to acknowledge my understanding, its always there.

That, and I have found Mapquest to be quite handy in finding your "way".

haha, thats a good point technically a "Lawyer" is one trained in circumventing the law, as the law will be strictly enforced in The Kingdom of God

Yeah He does.

We are supposed to "carry each others burdens, and be a strength to those who are weak," but in my experience there are few proffessing christians who do that!

I take it your not a Christian, which is fair, not bashing you, its not for everyone, but yes, there will in fact be more in hell than in heaven, as according to scripture 2/3rds this worlds population will be there... I think there making a movie for you its called "I hope they serve beer in hell" not saying you will end up there or anything, but just saying kinda funny title, semi-related. it may not be the way for you, but mapquest is only good for a known course.... when u know where ur going.... nothing in life, or in that matter death, is certain

Summed it up quite nicely and I agree, this fits for me as well.

Except, Mapquest is NOT to be trusted, it once directed me onto Forest Service single track, rather than the actually highway running alongside... For shame

It seems most people, non believers anyhow, feel that Christians are supposed to be perfect, or they profess to being perfect.

No one on this planet is perfect - the only perfect one was Jesus Christ Himself.

We are all human which means we come with sin - like a bad one year warranty. And that part bugs me - I try to keep my anger to myself, I try to keep my not so nice thoughts to myself and it's a hard thing to do.

I try to remember that there are more people than not that have been misled regarding God and Jesus - and I hate to see that.

lol true - mapquest has proven wrong for me on several road trips. Thank goodness for convenience stores and traffic lights - where I can stop and ask for directions.

I do agree with that one that Jesus himself was the only one who has ever been perfect.... but with all due respect for the Father, I feel he does not make mistakes and we all may not BE Christ, he made us the way we are, thus in his eyes WE ARE PERFECT(with christ as our savior)

Yep, the Bible talks about the preachers not doing right - there are some on tv that I hear and it turns my stomach. Those guys give God a bad rep - and that is unfortunate.

That's like saying b/c a male robbed a store then all males are robbers.

I"ve been around alot longer than 24 years but oh goodness how things have changed in this world just in the last decade. It's unreal. What finally got my attention was the whole 2012 thing - for once, everything started aligning up with what Daniel and Revelation says. I've always been a believer but that is what really got me on the ball in realizing that this planet isn't going to be around too much longer.

I still miss my pork though.

Keep the shellfish, I'm thinking of a nicely cooked
pork roast.

Sigh.
