A British teenager died at a Thai water park after swimming down to grab his goggles and then getting sucked into the pool's pump system.

The body of Nathan Clark, 14, was spat out in the resort's pump room.

Family members have told of their horror after staff at the tourist attraction refused to listen to their pleas for help, because they did not believe such an accident could have happened.

Seriously freaky way to die and the irony is that his farther was a tunnel engineer as the article reads.

But the real hard and utter stupidity was the fine imposed on the boys farther to pay for compensation for hitting a camera crew who tried to film the boys body.

Lets be honest and rational here, a judge with half a brain cell should have dismissed the farther's action as the circumstances were way above any normal situation which you encounter every day.

This happen in a Mexico resort a while back with a family of tourist from the US, their son also died after been sucked into the pool pump system.

I believe it was all over the news for a while as the hotel was trying to claim that it was not their fault or something like that.

Sad thing when you believe that some of these resorts facilities are child prof.

Hmm, whilst it is a sad event, the boy does qualify for a Darwin award:

He told older brother, Rhys, 15, that he was going to look for them and lifted the grill and entered the hole below. That was the last time he was seen alive.

He removed the grill and then swam into the hole!

Sorry, but that is just effing dumb...

I agree though, fining the father was OTT. He must have been pretty distraught.
