Forgot to ask... did you see Bruce actually in the flesh? Was this a workshop, a demonstration? What did you see him do?

I've seen him move his skull plates, which was pretty freaky. You could see the top plate of his skull move up by almost 2cm. As you'll know, he's bald, so it's pretty unmistakable.

One of the guys I know who's studied with him a lot said that he was staying with him and one day some knucklehead turned up to challenge him. The guy was really persistent so Bruce agreed to do some sparring. Kind of. If Bruce doesn't want to be hit, he won't be, and pretty soon the guy was infuriated because he couldn't even make contact. Bruce wasn't even doing anything... he just wasn't there whenever the guy tried to hit him.

Eventually Bruce got irritated enough that he let the guy hit him. The way my friend tells it, "Bruce, you know, he's so soft... the guy's fist went in under the ribcage. Bruce broke his wrist and expelled his fist in such a was as to dislocate the guy's shoulder. End of fight."

Edit - just to make clear that he did that without using his hands.

I'd really suggest that Bruce is rather beyond trickery. But, you know, you could always challenge him yourself next time you see him.

But acupuncture works using chi!

I think you've probably come across people who can't use chi in their martial arts before and this has disillusioned you.

I'd also say that Bruce Frantzis is also fully qualified in TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine) and is particularly adept at tui na, which is kind of like acupressure, but with an extra chi component.

Check him out properly. Read his books. Learn from one of his instructors near you, or better yet, do one of his courses.

I have to admit I'm kind of ticked off with that "trickery" jibe. You really don't know what you're talking about here.

I reason i mentioned trickery is because a basic mind control technique used by lots of people who fake this kind of stuff is to hold seminars. Its well known that by removing someone from their usual surroundings its easier to get them to believe what you want them to believe. Its a technique used by cults and people who sell holiday apartments.

Im not accusing Bruce directly of being a faker. I love to spar with the guy
but i don't think for one second id stand much of a chance of winning.

lol.. i saw him do the the thing with his head plates to.. it was pretty impressive. Not sure how much use it is in a fight though.

I have a friend who's an amature boxer who can do that trick to. He bets people $20 they cant lay a hand on him in 60 seconds. Its totally infuriating. lol

I just saw this on youtube and it has to be one of the worst fake Tai chi videos i have ever seen.

The moves that the instructor is doing are real techniques but the reactions of his students is beyond laughable.

The part where he 'projects' Chi through the hands of spectators is a standard trick that i have seen these fakers do many times. If it was real he wouldnt have to count 1-2-3 before the students start jumping about like a demented cat on a hot tin roof.

It amazes me that people fall for this stuff in this day and age.

I haven't read through yet, but I can attest I was healed by Chi!!

I was in an explosion 10 or 12 years ago, and I had to have skin grafts over about 25% of my body. Mainly lower legs and arms. Most people would hardly notice now, I had top notch Doctors!!

But, my Right elbow refused to heal! It is a tough spot, the skin would continually stiffen and break, the regrafted over and over, but it stayed raw! It was a huge concern for awhile, but after more than a year had passed, I had learned to adapt and live with it! Keep it clean and bandaged, no big deal.

While righting a college paper for Holistic Medicine, I interviewed an acupuncturist. He gave me great info, but then he wanted to demonstrate. I was concerned, but he asked the right question! He asked if I had any "problem areas?" I showed him my elbow, and he said he could fix it!

I walked outside and called my doctors office. They put me on hold, talked to the vascular surgeon that had done my surgery and came back and said the Doc thought it was a Great Idea!!

So, I went back inside, and he performed "Surrounding the Dragon" on my Rt Elbow. A series of pins inserted in the skin surrounding the raw spot, hooked to electrodes, and random electrical charges fired across the area!! It tickled, and even burned a little, but it didn't hurt.

By the time I turned in my paper, the area had a thin veil of skin over it!! Within a month it was completely healed!! The Practitioner told me that the Chi was interrupted in the area, and that it need a kickstart to resume its normal flow!!

I AM A BELIEVER!! AND LUCKILY, SO WAS MY SURGEON!!

I hope it helps this time!

I also go for a nice massage, and switch to only drinking water for a few days when I feel generally bad, or have headaches or backaches.

Chi is real but not in the way that many people think. Yea u can mak energy balls ad yes u can even ower up your body but as far as knocking ppl out dats a lie. I myself have pushe this power to the limits and it ha never presented itself in the same manner as others claim. But it has presented itself in a WHOLE BUNCH of other ways and powers that ave yet to hear anyone else claim. Such as if you use your emotions to dominate the energy in your body you can create an aura that will effect those around you and sometimes even the weather. I dont really feel like explaining all o this in 1 message. So if you want a better description than reply to my post and ill tell/teach you what ever you wana kno.

O yea if theres any martial artist who think they can beat me in a exhibition using chi and technique than i welcome you to challenge me. I have exploited the power of chi and used it to absorb the skils of other fighters just on sight. Dont believe me than accept my challenge

Another faker doing almost identical tricks as the video posted above.

The reason the guy trembles is so the student knows when to jump backwards.
Its plainly obvious the american guy is talking BS because any real martial artist will confirm that is not how to throw someone over your shoulder. Judo was the first martial arts i ever studied. The move is done by dropping the shoulder you want to throw the guy over which instantly pulls him off balance. You do not try to lift the person over your back.

I will gladly be a willing volunteer if anyone would like to demonstrate these techniques on me.
