The US sending our radio stations rights and moneys over seas

I was outside most of the day yesterday working on my TransAm and had on my local country station..They ran about 5 commercials for some kinda law or something coming up to give the rights to various stations if not all to over seas powers..

I didnt get too much from it other then major points wich were..
Moneys and jobs going over seas
No more local news and coverings

I will again be listening in to get more details of it..This concerns me greatly..

has any one heard of such a thing??

Every country seems to complain about jobs and money going overseas. Usually the people in the Far East are the scape goats.

Hey I even came to the US and took lots of money and a job from you guys. But, my job ultimately created more US jobs ... and then I left and spent my money here at home which hopefully helped create more SA jobs.
Everybody wins at this game except the whiners sitting on their rear-ends.

What this about your radio stations being outsourced to other countries? As long as the country music stations don't come here I am fine with that.

the time I spent in Zimbabwe,i dont know how you could send radio signals through the haze over harare...I never winess smog untill i was over there..Its a shame..

How about stations broadcasting via satellite? Or the internet? All you need is decent bandwidth and internet radio has been around for a while.

Anyway, do you honestly believe your local radio stations will be outsourced? I really don't see the point.

I don't see how that would work. Radio stations need an antenna to broadcast. I don't know how oversees radio stations would work. Maybe selling the ownership to people over seas.

Things just keep getting worse. I remember hearing something about the RIAA going to tax radio stations or something I can't exactly remember.
