Obama, Democrats driving down the economy

www.napavalleyregister.com

The Obama administration, along with Congress, has been on a rampage lately to destroy the U.S. economy, and the American voters should take a closer look.

The House has passed the cap-and-trade energy bill, H.R. 2454. The Heritage Foundation estimates that by 2035 this bill would cut the gross domestic product of the United States by $6,790 per family of four and impose $4,600 in carbon taxes per family.
Obama’s position is: “So, if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all th

Well, here's some more same old stuff many people have been saying about the cap and trade crap. Of course keep in mind of course this is more of an editorial piece but it does go over much of the stuff being pushed these past few months in Congress.
Perhaps if we could somehow make use of the local media instead of national we could somehow use it to combat more support to our cause?

The economy is going to the crapper...no doubt about that.

But man...

The Heritage Foundation? That's the Neo-con headquarters of the Republican party which has costed this country trillions of dollars. They will rail about costs but fail to talk about the cost of the war the last 8 years and the forthcoming costs to keep it up......hmm...almost sounds like DEMOCRATS!?!?!?! I don't hear them talking about the cost of war anymore.........

The Heritage foundation is the polar opposite of MoveOn.org....but I do agree about cap and trade....it's bad for the American people and it will be an absolute travesty if it happens.

i'm not even reading the article. just the topic title alone makes my laugh and cry. yeah...they alone are doing it. this didn't start decades ago with reagan and continue right up through obama. get a grip you lunatics on the fringes of both "parties" and leanings. just get a grip and put the energy you waste in fingerpointing and dissing each other into actually doing something that might make a difference. i'm so freaking sick of this i scream internally and sometimes even externally whenever i even see a headline like this.

Let's face it, the democrats needed help to carry this out.... and they got it, from the Republicans.

Together they wavered like a drunken man walking up hill. Always on the path set before them by the true architects of our economic demise. I am referring to the now SUPRA-national bank cartel that can exercise supreme control over any nation or nations; because our leaders have submitted.

To some extent, there is a criminal act underway, unfortunately, the minute it becomes evident, they simply make it legal.

Cap and Trade is the nail in the coffin made by the patriot act. For any my age or older, that means there is no America as we knew and loved it anymore. It's something else now; and the ignorant fools don't even realize what they have lost to these Universal Commercial Code-wielding, 21st Century Robber-Barons.

I'll present exhibit A:

Time magazine's now infamous story "25 People to Blame for the Financial Crisis"

Dems and Republicans are equally to blame for the further degradation of our country's financial system.

for the past year the number one priority is healthcare,

jobs be they want people out of work they want people dependent they want people angry its easier to control us that way. its all part of their master plan

communism and socialism its not something that if your older we were taught about its on display everyday at the whitehouse.

this country is so broke it will never be fixed because noone wants it to be.

meanwhile while the country is supposedly broke and congress is still writing checks we dont have for the first time in 30 years senior citizens and disabled people will not get the cost of livng raise and goods and services continue to rise..

washingtons priorites suck.

Cap and Trade is very strongly opposed by the mega-corporations everybody's yelling about. It will cost them money to implement it. But not so much money that it's going to destroy the economy -- any further than it already has been destroyed, that is.

Republicans always think that if corporations and the super rich have to shell out their fair share for anything the sky will fall.

We need to limit the amount of emissions that are harmful to the planet, that should have high priority.

My major concern is that the power companies will just pass on the cost of cap and trade to the consumers. In these hard times that would be an extra hardship for many.
