The concept of selling ones soul for wealth or power comes from the assumption that the soul is the whole of ones subjective experience. Now as we all know, mo money mo problems, which is basically the underlying concept behind "selling your soul". You basically sacrifice the joys of simplicity for the joys of materialism or rather, "success from the perspective of prevailing world concepts". This causes you anxiety, anguish, etc, because now you literally have something to lose and have to put forth lots of effort and deal with stress in order to maintain this joy from without.

People have lost their entire lives to these processes. Others have found the joy of simplicity eventually and "got their soul back", if you will.

All of the iconography associated with this, are simply mythological archetypes which represent the very real suffering which occurs when one trades the simple joys and piece of mind of human existence for fame, wealth, etc.

These things aren't evil or bad, they just end up causing much more anxiety and suffering than the alternative. In the end, you are really just giving your authority to live life how you want from an inside-out perspective, over to "the world" or "mammon". And in the end when all of the items are lost to entropy, not only do you not have those, but you also don't have the sensation of living according to your own will.

The irony is, that LOTS of people "sell their soul" to religions like Christianity everyday, missing the message that "The Kingdom of heaven is at hand" and that "the Father and I are one", and they end up with the same problems.

This is the main message of the Sermon on the Mount.

So - if a person accepts existence of a soul , selling it for 500 $ is pretty chip deal. And if one does not accept that there is a soul - it is surely not what would ensure his debt being paid up. There is no logic in the demand of the loaner, frankly. So either it is hoax (and i doubt that it is) , publicity stunt (probably) or something else that i do not get.
Anyway, i find it slightly disturbing.

Latvia? Victor? Hmmm Does this guy have a metal face mask and a green cloak too?

Victor Von Doom will be reaping in the souls on this adventure!
Atleast these people have a choice in if they are going to sell their soul as collateral..
See we here in the USA are already bought and paided for.. The Fed already owns our body via SS. Not sure if the Fed owns our souls tho..
I do know they use our bodies as collateral..

But anyway... No thanks.. My soul has plans after its done with this body here..

This is so Faustian it's unbelievable. I say don't sign anything with the words "Your Soul" on it in bold.

Advice everyone should take. Hahaha.
