yo all !

this may be a strange post, or silly.... first, i live in the uk, and i watch my share of streaming live tv, alot of it is from america....

one thing on usa tv is that their are LOADS of food adverts, one that grabs my attention is "popeyes chicken" .... Daaayum that looks like good chicken, but what intrests me more is the BISCUIT... mainly because i dont have a clue what a biscuit is.

can someone help me... in uk we have chips or frys with chicken... im completly flabbergasted at what a biscuit might be!

Some are made with flour, salt, and buttermilk. Actually, I've been here in the UK for a couple months and the closest I've seen to a biscut here was a cheese scone. It looked like a buttermilk biscut and not a scone, but the package said scone.
I was shocked when my boyfriend said that the KFC here didn't have buttermilk biscuts!!!

A star for that post.

I prefer my biscuits with strawberries and whipped cream as in strawberry shortcake.

They aren't sweet like scones which makes them a good choice with chicken. But they are also good with jam

You make a dough of flour, milk, shortening, salt and baking powder.

Roll it out and cut dough in circles and place on a greased baking pan.

Bake till done.

You may then sop up gravy with it, or ut butter and jam on it. Many folks put steak, ham, bacon or chicken in the middle of a sliced biscuit.

Honey is also good on a biscuit.

A treat is when you put a hole in the center of the biscuit and fry it and the roll it in sugar to make a donut.

I like to put the edge of a biscuit in coleslaw let it draw the liquid up into the bread. Yummy.
