Nasa satellite map reveals 99% of Earth's land surface for first time

An astonishing new map has revealed the elevation of nearly every place on Earth.

The Global Digital Elevation Model was created using nearly 1.3million images collected by a Japanese camera on board Nasa's Terra spacecraft. It is made up of a giant grid of 23,000 tiles, with each height point spaced 98ft apart.

It shows a detailed representation of the planet's land mass. In this colourised version, low elevations are purple, medium elevations are greens and yellows, and high elevations are orange, red and white.

It reveals that England and most of Ireland are low-lying and share a similar elevation to Denmark, Poland and northern Russia in Europe, Mauritiana and Somalia in Africa, Brazil andArgentina in south America, Florida in the U.S and parts of Australia.

This interesting, I have been trying to fiqure out how high and how much the water or a large wave would need to be to flood the sacramento valley. Water comes in a stockton.

Can anyone remember where Old Pappa Bush bought land recently?? Might give an idea as to why? if its elevated and central it could point to a knowledge of predicted rising sea levels.

Who says Bush is going to live in Paraguay? Just because his Nazi friends live there? There's an aquifer on that piece of land he bought. No matter what, the price for clean water will - again - put Bush in the monopolist position: oil, water, air (carbon tax scam). We will have to pay and globalists will control. These sick people want to depopulate Earth; not a bad idea I say, let us start with reducing the globalists' numbers first!

But seriously, the missing percentage, I would think, would be from the poles... I don't think we have satellites that move above them. Then again, I never really bothered to check.

There won't be flooding for a long time yet and when/if it happens it looks like England will be funked!!

How exciting! I'm a GIS specialist, so I work with maps and raster images day in and day out (actually working on some of that right now!) I think this is an awesome find! Love the oblique views of LA!
