Ross Thomas

My girlfriend and I had a book that was sitting on her end table for a couple of years and when we moved just last month, we looked at it and it seemed it might be interesting. It is called "Briarpatch" by Ross Thomas. I guess he was popular in his day, though never reached the fame like say Stephen King, but I had never heard of him until this book. I actually liked it, though I didn't care for the ending but I did like his writing style. I noticed he has 24 other books and thought of reading them. Is anyone else familar with his other works and if so, are they worth the read?
