Picture looks photoshopped.
Blog was only created today. Nobody on the Internet that Google crawls has posted it.
There are no other posts in the blog.
Headline on the blog is the same style as how OP writes.

Fail?

edit: Oh one more thing, the perspective is off too. Unless the cameraman had some weird lense.

Thanks Nventual, and Pappie54, I too agree you can see this before any zooming in.

Evidence leans in favour of photoshopping.

Yep.

To me, it says that security surrounding the President of Iran is nowhere near as strict as we've been led to believe.

I mean, come on. She could just walk out in front of his car and flip him off? She's obviously not in a hurry to move, she's standing quite still. No one seems to even be reacting. Not the driver, not the guys beside the president. That's not quite the reaction you'd expect - especially with all the riots and so on.

How long would anyone be allowed to stand in front of Obama's limo, do you figure? They'd be on the ground before they stepped off the curb.

If it's not photoshopped, it says quite a lot about how we've been mislead on Iran.

John that was a just plain silly amateur mistake.
You included the url to the image as a source, the source is a baptist church?

are you trying to intentionally incite panic and fear with Iran?
Or maybe one of your church buddies passed it along?

let's hurry it along the end times shall we?

Isin't that the plan?

is this your church John?

www.fbcd.com

First Baptist Church Denton has a new website!
Your browser should automatically take you there in 10 seconds. If it doesn't please go to www.firstdenton.org...

hmmm

Busted?

[edit on 26-6-2009 by warrenb]

This is a photo I found on the web, and had to place it in a blog so it would be possible to source on ats. Is that clear enough?

I clearly stated the authenticity of the photo is not known.

What are you even going on about with this church thing?

I'm thankful for the expertise of the others here who have pointed out the glitch.

But your contribution as usual is nothing more than silly insults, and trying to take credit from other people.

Be a man for once in your life, and grow up. Your arrogance is astounding. You claimed on one of your threads that no protests were taking place, and could not even be bothered to answer questions which easily debunked your theory. Previously you were trolling on another thread of mine, and the next thing I see you do is troll on this thread. You're a waste of space.

If this wasn't photoshopped I would say it's likely this was from very early on during Ahmadinejads victory rally... before things got really bad. Plus the view is either cropped or too narrow-field to say for sure about security. That also points in the direction of photoshopping.

This is the only one I know of.

I would also like to know why you think you can just make up theories for a thread about the situation in Iran, and then leave once it's debunked without recognising on that thread you were wrong?

Eventually one of your guesses would be correct from laws of probability. But you can't really take credit for the odd correct wild guesse, especially when it's 50-50 chance to begin with.

John124

Thank you for the brilliant picture...I can not stop smiling. You have to admit it, gives a warm and fuzzy feeling!

This photo should be placed on a billboard close to the Iranian Embassy...I know they would appreciate it...

A deserved Star

Hey warrenb, someone pointed out on your thread that the photos you provided show basij and police wearing riot gear. You used that as evidence to claim no riots were taking place....

I have been reading the thread from start to finnish and I still can't see where you answered my question John.

Where did you get all your knowledge about Iran, Have you lived there? or holidayed there?

Or did you get all your Iranian knowledge from the internet and TV?

and your funny because as you can see in the picture the riot police are NOT doing anything in that picture

I wonder about you.

look at all your posts
where's the evidence for most of it?

You said the OP photo in this thread, is on that blog with only 1 post
so you setup that page or what?

where did you get the image?
twitter? (google turns up links to the image on facebook, all same filename)

the linked OP image is hosted on facebook, so we just gotta check the profile linking to the image right, is that the source or is it twitter?

you said in another thread that you provide evidence from reliable sources

how is facebook or twitter reliable?

double standards?

You have to look at the bigger picture in Iran, and how the Iranian people are defying their vicious dictator Khamenei, and his puppet Ahmadinejad.

Therefore an image like this is iconic.

Of course if someone behaved dangerously towards Obama they could even get shot. I don't dispute that. But an unarmed woman would not get taken away and tortured and later hanged. Do you understand.

But to somehow say that means you can use that to make comparisons between Obama and Ahmadinejad is incorrect.

And the bigger picture is Who exactly is behind the uprising?

The defiant woman may have had dual citizen ship but that wouldn't matter because Iran are meant to be the bad guys and they are being poked and poked so as they will bite back, well they havn't bitten yet so I suppose this lone woman will become the new Angel of Iran, stories surfacing about a public execution.

Out of curiosity. you know about Iran from how exactly???

Hey sorry I missed your post whilst being distracted by that warrenb guy. His strawman arguments and failure to recognise his debunked theories whilst consistently trolling on my thread causing distraction means I've added him to my ignore list. Anyway to actual matters.

I have some Iranian friends in the UK, who have family and friends over in Iran, Tehran. They've been in contact as much as possible, but recently the phone lines have been cut dead completely... they even tried ringing about 100 times to get thru' but no answer.

Anyway one of those friends I mentioned sent me the link for this photo today. He spends all his time searching for photos and videos so he sends me links of useful stuff that I haven't found myself. From the way it's been cropped I would have to say IMO this may not be real, and the glitches near the womans left arm are also an indicator.

IMO it is probably a photo from Ahmadinejad's victory rally from a while back, and the president is posing for a photo. Most likely the cropped bits show his regime loyal fans not paying attention to any woman giving him to finger, and so they removed it to make it look authentic. You have to remember this photo could be faked by anyone in the world who just has too much spare time. I doubt the opposition are up to making forgeries to prove their case.

Anyway that's by no means conclusive, for all I know a copy of this photo may turn up without the crop and show militia aiming a gun at her.
