Ron Paul: Obama's 'goal' is economic collapse

rawstory.com

“From their spending habits, an economic collapse seems to be the goal of Congress and this administration,” he said in his June 22, 2009, weekly address.

He added that Democrats who voted for the Congressional war supplement, which gave an additional $106 billion to fund military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq — among other, unrelated items — were actually voting in favor of the wars , not just authorization of the president’s agenda.

Many of us are used to hearing what Ron Paul has been saying about the economic collapse, unwise spending and corporate control, but now he's starting to call Obama out on what many of us already believe, that he's here to make sure the economic collapse goes off just as planned.
The level of ignorance many Americans seem to be willing and proud to possess concerning our history, our rights, the economic crisis, and the role of the Federal Reserve, the big banks, corporations, media and Wall Street in regulating our everyday lives and oppressions is really frightening.
Dr. Paul is responsible for waking up so many people in the US and even around the world. He's being invited to speak all over the world, much more than any other Congressman. I wonder how much longer he'll get away with spouting so much truth...

Of course it's economic collapse.

And the worst thing about it... well not the worst
But one of the slap in the faces while they rob the nation blind is them saying "if you want change then serve - United we stand"

that's a bunch of BS man

united we stand, divided and destitute you try to make us!

Thanks for posting his actual address. It's not that this is anything terribly new, I just found it to be rather encouraging that he's saying it so bluntly and still managing to get coverage. It's encouraging

this certainly seems to be the endgame of what's happening. it's so weird though. why would the government want that? I mean, really! plus the plethora of unconstitutional actions taken over the past few months. as it is, regular people don't have any way to stop it except a lot of complaining and writing useless letters to congress. it would seem that the end goal of the industrial takeovers, giving the fed greater power and even less accountability can only lead to violent revolt. eventually it will be too much for anybody to accept. so why are they trying to push things into violent revolt?

i can't understand what they are really trying to accomplish with this.

The end game must be to bring in a one world currency and have a subserviant populace in place after the dissidents are quelled.
All in the plan evidently, lower the population numbers by taking out the weak, dependent and the free thinkers who would dare to oppose them.

It’s absolutely amazing what’s been happening in Washington.

What is even more amazing is how indoctrinated the average American is to the lies and the corruption.

We cheer on one group of Iranians who favor one socialist candidate who promises economic reform over another candidate who couldn’t deliver on economic reform like those people are our forefathers while we sit around looking at the mass media for such entertainments and disbelievingly sticking our own collective heads in the sand here at home.

Our youth unlike Iran’s can’t be disciplined legally by their own parents anymore but have been turned into a bunch of zombified recreants and misfits diagnosed with ADD and Bi-Polar system and fed a steady diet of mind altering drugs to correct their deficiencies while being entertained 24/7 with video games full of violence and subliminal messages that engrosses them to a near vegetative state.

Adults who speak up and out are ‘terrorists’ ‘right wing extremists’ ‘racists’ and suffering from ‘sour grapes’ as we listen to what George W. Bush did by way of excuse as if we all didn’t already know what he did.

A few of us speak out, with similar but often widely varying agendas, but none of us act out.

It would seem to me the greatest problems reside not in Washington but our own homes and mirrors and until we can identify and correct those, Washington is just going to continue to do what it wants, when it wants, how it wants and make us pay for it every conceivable way possible.

Oh well, time for my medication, and to play another made in China video game, I bought at Wal-Mart.

Later Gators!

I myself have been wondering why in the heck some people that used to condemn those who dissented against the government are now trying to get them to not just disagree with it but get outright crazy insane about what the government is doing.

And I'm talking about the people in the media who once tried to make us "be more positive and ignore the doomsdayers" are now trying to make us fear our government and have disdain for those who hope for a better future.

You comment, daddyroo, makes perfect sense. Your theory would not only root out the dissenters but it would also help to send a message to those who are too weak to lay down their life against a tyrannical government. That message being "stand against us and get shot down like these fools."

Then, as you said, all that will be left is a subservient public.

Man, you gave me the shivers...You really gave me a huge piece of the puzzle.

Star for you!

You're comment immediately brought to mind Serj Tankian's words from "Unthinking Majoirty":

"Anti-depressants
Controlling tools of your system
Making life more tolerable "

And also in relation to your comment:

Adults who speak up and out are ‘terrorists’ ‘right wing extremists’ ‘racists’

"We don't need your democracy
Execute them kindly for me
Take them by their filthy nostrils
Put them up in doggy hostles"

Crazy...

Ron Paul...is a very special individual at the moment.
In these times so many voices are lost and it is hard to find a true, and I mean TRUE Patriot. Not a person who caters to the psychological manifesto that is being pushed by several elitist individuals. I for one know, believe he is a man, that we can all trust. Whether this is proof positive, we can all only hope.

Broken record. Iv heard many things from Ron Paul, doesnt make me even turn much anymore. We are in an economic crises, true, but as per usual we get the alarmists coming out and push their own agenda. Because we dont choose ron pauls route, to close down the IRS and replace it with another agency to handle the skyrocketing taxes on our products in place of income taxes to which millions will then cross into Canada and Mexico for their products, the goal here is economic collapse. Funny we have not even seen his plan in action before, the man doesnt even know whether it works let alone how its going to work. All it is, "end the fed", end just another agency and that will solve our problems, to be eventually replaced with another problem i.e another agency.

Not all of us buy the Ron Paul talk. True, Iv said this before, the man had the balls to tell it like it is back in 03' but nothing further than that. When the economic recovers next year, with all the conservatives complaing the recovery the result of "a cycle, not a stimulus" what will Ron Pauls excuse be? I get the feeling he will be using the same alarmist rhetoric, nothing surprising really.

Southern Guardian, is this recovery in a year a prognostication,or do you have the inside track with a soon to be appointed Truth Czar?
The IRS has it's work cut out for it. Near 10% unemployment combined with shortened work weeks for some of the lucky few with jobs. Means less tax revenue to collect and dispurse. Where oh where will the shortfall be made up? New and inventive taxes would be my guess. Maybe the Federal Reserve with it's new super powers will just collect it straight from the consumer.
Yep the plan as it stands looks like it is working soooo well right now! Just a few short months and we'll all be back in the money again.....

Some very bold statements. The only think that comes to mind, is you know very little
of how the IMF and FRB actually function. This is indicated by your use of ' alarmist rhetoric '. This is not an insult, just an observation. You also appear to be stuck in the liberal v conservative mode. Somewhat of a waste of time when one see they are mostly cut from the same cloth. Cheers

Choose your excuse daddyroo45:

"its just a cycle, we were going to recover anyway"
"The recovery was the result of Bushes trillion dollar tax cuts 8 years ago"
"Its all a sham"

I sure hope you'll be around next year, and the year after. If anything, having been on this site for three years (my other membership with similar name), Iv seen the typical suspects leave and the mysterious ones pop up with new user names, not to be held accountable to their histories. Hopefully then I can use this very thread here to reference this to yours and the others reply to the economic normality next year.

The IRS has it's work cut out for it.
And when the national sales tax is implemented vai ron Pauls caped leadership, what agency is going to handle that? And how are american businesses going to handle the millions fleeing across the borders to avoid the 30% tax increase on the products?

Near 10% unemployment combined with shortened work weeks for some of the lucky few with jobs.

And? As far as I can see it, for the worst economic crises in decades, I wouldnt be jumpy to assume somebody was going to end it in a matter of months. This mess accumulated over an 8year period while you and your buddies here kept shut. I really dont see an 8year mess getting itself solved in 8months, regardless of who it is.

Im a liberal, I advocate liberal policies, Im here to put forth my opinion, my views. If you dont like it, dont get into discussion of politics then. Simple.

I'll be here S.G. as long as I can afford the internet connection. I take it you also see this as a long term problem as I do? There are no quick fixes! This problem didn't come upon us in the last eight years. I venture to say the ball started rolling back in 1976,with the beginning of the CRA. Carter,Regan,Bush sr., Clinton, Bush lite, and Obama the first. Along with the mainstay life term Congressmen, and a very shady Federal Reserve Bank brought all this to our collective door steps.

The real question is what do WE do about the problem. I have lost all confidience in our Federal elected officals.I doubt that they would recognize common sense if it smacked them in the head.
Oh and by the way I just joined last year.As far as Bush Lite goes I didn't care for his policies anymore than I do Obama the firsts!

Every time an individual delegates her/his political voice or power, they dilute their destiny proportionately to the ratio of people practicing the same process. This results in disproportinate power weided by a few, and that concentration results in despotism.
Show me an uncorrupt government that acts genuinely in the interests of its constituents.

Big government is inherently corrupt, and unrepresentational. Ron Paul seems to be keeping the illusion alive, and comes across as genuine, but I cannot help but ponder his role in the bigger machine, voluntary or otherwise. He offers a small flame for the American Dream.. But as George Carlin so eloquently put it:

" Ya know why they call it the American Dream?"

"'Cause you'd have to be asleep to believe it!"

peace~

The American people are free to possess firearms. That is why an armed revolt is brewing.
