Would Use Pakistani Nukes: Al Qaeda

If it were in a position to do so, Al Qaeda would use Pakistan’s nuclear weapons in its fight against the United States, a top leader of the group said in remarks aired on Sunday.

“God willing, the nuclear weapons will not fall into the hands of the Americans and the mujahideen would take them and use them against the Americans,” Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, the leader of al Qaeda in Afghanistan, said in an interview with Al Jazeera television.

Al Qaeda directly threatens to use Pakistans nuclear weapons against the United States. Between North Korea and Pakistan we have to extremely volatile sources of nuclear weapons available to the radicals. Just a month ago we were hearing that Iran might be on the brink of developing nukes. Of course they have threatened to wipe Israel off the map and publicly chant death to America in the congress. With all the chaos in the world right now, it seems like a nuclear event is inevitable. Al Qaeda seems to be taking advantage of this moment by making threats.
