Picture an intruder stepping stealthily across an international borderline. Now shift to a U.S. Command and Control center several miles away where a computer system is alerting a security officer to the intruder's movement, having detected the slight sound of a footstep and zeroed in on the intruder's exact location. I thought we could and should have a sophisticated detection system on the boarder, now we can. The fact that so many drug runners, human runners, and possible terrorists slip into the United States unchallenged is very disturbing. One thing you never hear about in the news is how many Arabs or middle easterners are picked up by the Boarder Patrol. The fact we have so many enemies who can often times just walk right into our country is pretty sad and pathetic. This is way over due and hope it will be used to protect our boarders.

What if a animal were to cross it? wouldn't that also trigger a sound? It must have some pretty big flaws.

an animal may trigger it in theory, ( i dont know how it works exactly) but surely the UAV would alert everyone that its a false alarm.
