FBI tried to stop Deepthroat!

Just came across this story. I know that the watergate alias "Deepthroat" has been talked about here, but now that he has passed away some of the FOIA information is starting to come out. Here is a link to the story;

There are stories of mob money being used to make the famous adult film of the same name, and information on the FBI investigation into the director of Deep Throat, Gerard Damiano (a 4,800 page file).

So what is your take on the FBI doing a 4,800 page investigation (alot of which is blacked out, or has not been released yet) on the director of a low budget porn movie that eventually became one of the most widely known adult films in history?

BTW....you have to love the post title...lol

Man, I thought for sure someone would have bit on this by now....lol

I knew with the title it would garner some unwanted attention, but I do find the story of the FBI investigating the director quite interesting.
