i thought that monkeys didnt have vocal cords??? how would try talk like us without that?

No vocal cords? Then how do you suppose they're able to hoot and holler and carry on?

I think it all depends on what you mean by talk. OK, so they may never be able to speak a human language, but they already talk in their own language. Many species on the planet, such as elephants and primates have a larger vocabulary than the average human!
