Ahmadinejad didn't cheat - Khamenei

IRAN'S supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei says the high turnout in the disputed presidential poll shows the people's trust in the Islamic system and he has ruled out any major fraud.

Iranians had picked who they wanted and all 40 million people who voted were voting to support the 1979 Islamic revolution, not just the 24.5 million who voted to re-elect President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, he said.

He said the Opposition will be blamed for any violence linked to those protests.

There it is. He didn't cheat. We can all trust the word of the Ayatollah, can't we?

He's got a fair point, how can one cheat with a margin of 11 million votes?

At least he's gracious enough to proclaim that any further violence will be blamed on the Opposition. Winners are grinners, right?

Hopefully this circus act will be over soon?
