I know a lot of people are considering violent revolt. But I am here to present to you a far more effective solution, non-violent civil
disobedience
I will prove to you that it WORKS. It effects Change and it brings people together. If your "cause" is Just, than civil disobedience will
vindicate it and uphold it unto all.
Violence does not work , look at all of the "terrorists." Do their car bombs make life better? Does it change the system? Do assassinations
"prevent death" or "spread it?"
In this thread I will prove to you beyond a shadow of any doubt that non-violent civil disobedience is the ultimate cure of our sickness. This
sickness is tyranny and violence, and it is time to break the circle once and for all.
1) Henry David Thoreau
His Lesson to us? Do Not Pay Taxes to an Unjust Govt.
"He was the pioneer of satyagraha—resistance to tyranny through mass civil disobedience, firmly founded upon ahimsa or total
non-violence—which led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world." en.wikipedia.org...
and probably one of the most inspiring speeches ever given on this planet Earth.
Non-Violence will always defeat violence and oppression
3) Martin Luther King Jr.
"n 1964, King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end racial segregation and racial discrimination through
civil disobedience and other non-violent means. By the time of his death in 1968, he had refocused his efforts on ending poverty and opposing the
Vietnam War, both from a religious perspective." en.wikipedia.org...
I Have A Dream
Non-violent Civil Disobedience was the foundation of the Civil Rights Movement
4) Jesus and the Third Way
"Jesus is not telling us to submit to Evil, but to refuse to oppose it on it's own terms. He is urging us to transcend both passivity and violence,
by finding a Third Way, one that is at once assertive and non-violent" - Walter Wink
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
This my friends, is the ultimate weakness of the "NWO", the order of Evil that has bore down on us for ages.
Who really changed History for the better? Hitler or Gandhi? Stalin or MLK Jr? Mao or Jesus?
Non-violent Civil Disobedience is the Answer
Do you think violence will bring us peace? Or do you think Love and Forgiveness will bring us prosperity?
Here is the key to unlocking our destiny, and it has always been right under our noses. We Will Overcome!
I am sorry that my thread is not as perfect as I would want it to be, but I have tried my best to share what I have discovered today, to be the true
solution to today's injustices.
It all depends on your numbers and your enemies motivation.
You think if the homosexuals, Jews and other minorities just played the "go limp" game Hitler would have stopped to question is actions?
I can see Ghandi pulling that crap on Stalin. About 4 minutes into the hunger strike he would have been shot and dumped in a hole somewhere.
Unless we stop paying our taxes en mass (like hugely) the disobediant will just get rounded up and/or shot. So far every high profile tax evader has
failed to turn the public to their side and has instead rallied the greater public behind the fed. Ed Brown for instance. People across the country
and people in his own town hated him for not paying his taxes. To most of these drones paying your taxes is some grand duty of honor and not paying
them makes you a terrorist.
Tax protesting will just speed up the coming Civil War.
The idiots with their indiscriminate bombing over in Afghanistan and Iraq are absolutely going about it the wrong way. But laying down their arms and
marching with signs is going to send the U.S. packing? I don't think so.
Non-violent protest has its place. I don't see how it will be effective against a true tyrant.
My tiny brain tells me that they killed all of those non-violent visionaries.
That leads me to fear. I guess I don't have to think too hard to come to the conclusion that courage, in the pursuit of non-violence is much more
productive than psuedo-courage acting out of fear.
It's awful hard sometimes to think about things in the big picture and let go of attachments to material or temporal things.
Yes they died as martyrs. Yes you will be tortured. Yes you will probably die.
But your soul will not die. They cannot force you to bend to the will of Evil.
Gandhi defeated the British Empire without firing a shot.
Jesus defeated the Roman Empire without firing a shot.
MLK Jr defeated segregation without firing a shot.
They died yes, but their death won a thousand battles.
Their deeds live on for eternity, their message does as well.
If you kill to stop injustice, you are now the new tyrant.
But if you stand up and resist - nonviolently, their empire will dissipate and dwindle into irrelevance.
This is history here. I suppose it all depends on what is in your heart?
Well good idea....except for one slight little, itsy bitsy problem. If they run out of money because you won't pay taxes, they'll just print or type
in some more! And now this great idea backfires on the rest of us who will suffer triple inflation. Umm, no.
Martin Luther King was touched by something supernatural called the "Holy Spirit" when he spoke..His speeches make me weep..They don't make them
like him anymore.
The goal of the British was enslavement. The goal of the Romans was enslavement. The goal of segregation was enslavement. For this the tyrants needed
their captives alive and compliant.
What happens when the captives would rather you simply be dead in the case of Hitler or Stalin? What happens when the end goal is you destruction?
They dont want you alive, they dont need you alive, why do they care if you passively resist your own destruction? You're taking the fun out of being
killed?
People would stand up, but the masses are scared too. They must have figured that being compliant lets you live the extra day.
Personally, I would rather we all just storm the parliment buildings, capitol hills, White Houses, Castles, mansions and just have the leaders
publicly exicuted, and spread the "secret info" around to all peoples of the world.
Personally, I think we would need to stop contributing to the established system as much as possible. Stop buying things from big corporations, stop
using credit cards, support local farmers and our neighbor's businesses as much as possible.
Raising awareness in our communities is probably most important, and beginning to work together with others to reduce our dependence on the government
and big business.
I mean really, most people can't help but pay income tax, because it's taken from them before they even get it. Not paying taxes to local and state
government will only hurt the local economy. It's income tax that is the biggest problem tax-wise, but people don't have a choice unless they are
self-employed.
That's my concept of how to get started anyway. It won't do any good to overturn our established system while so many are dependent on it. That
would be a disaster.
