what is your view of the average ATS user...?

I figured this would be an insightful and quite possibly entertaining view into the lives of ATS users. Let the responses begin!

Well theres lots of different people here on ATS. Some people will belive anything you told them and some people wont belive it, if its right in front of them. But I think the average person here on ATS pretty much open to anything as long as there is a good amount of proof.

Everyone else's view: We're all crazy gun nuts whom live in our parents basement with a tinfoil hat scared they will get us.


My view: We're normal everyday people whom have had the veil removed from our eyes.


Then again there are those few random fanatics... like the religious fanatic who comes here to convert everyone and the political fanatic who believes its all Obamas fault and Bush is the closest thing to god.

It's always going to be a tricky one... I hate generalising, but i'd certainly say a large group of the ATS community are proficient in their chosen fields of study.

The rest i'd say are either:

Hopeful. paranoid, inquisitive, curious...

Some obviously know a lot more about certain subjects than others, take me for example, i have a keen interest in ghosts, ufo's, politics, conspiracies, sound, religion and current affairs........ But i'm no expert.

But i dislike the types of people who claim to be 'indigo children' or the disinfo spreaders, or the one's who act holier than thou.

Some cynics i find amusing, some infuriating. But it would be hard to generalise a typical ATS'er.

The first person could be a Texan who is interested in ufo's, the next person could be an Indian scholar or an australian bush person.....

Haha! That's pretty much what I see. Everyone else in the world just lives their daily lives but then those of us who choose to be individuals, say f*** the system, or think for themselves are thrown into the category of needing mental help and or needing to be institutionalized.

Yup I like to picture the average ATS members as just that, an average every day person.

I'd love to be a neighboorhood filled with ATS users however, that would be some sort of sweet. Were a mixed bag of nuts really, all different in ideals and beliefs, but we all have same goal, the pursuit of truth.

Great thread for the freshmans Forum. This will get them some perspective....S&F.

I don't know, man. A friend told me that my aura just came to her one day and that I was an indigo child. And she said my aura was indigo purple, yellow, and green. At first my reaction was "yeah ok, whatever." But I recently traveled to Arizona and met a lady who read my aura and told me it was once again indigo purple, yellow, and green. This seems like a pretty specific event that could not be a coincidence to me. So I know humans definitely have the ability to read auras. The question I now have is whether those people who can see them have the ability to interpret them accurately....

Who knows?

I'm not quite sure how that would work out to have a neighborhood full of ATS members! But I'm open to it, because that would surely be interesting to consolidate a group of people with such different ideals and views into a small area. Sure there would be conflicting views, but if anything it would be somewhat of a social experiment to see how a community rooted in the pursuit of truth and conspiracy would get along.

I think physically, their not all that bad, contrary to first impressions you'd think wow, get some excercise, but no their fairly well put together individuals!

I think most, are too analytical, albeit it I am too, but some take things to far, and look for things were there's nothing there, like a rock on mars.... for example only.

Although their are quite a large percentage that are realists, and look truly to deny ignorance, not fabricate new things, and get pretty stars, and valuable flags.

Thanks, mr. lizard, I truly appreciate those who aren't just out to prove their beliefs without the consideration of the beliefs of others.

I'm not entirely sure why this thread was moved to general chit-chat, as I see it as an valuable way for new users to gain insight about what the community is like, but it is what it is :shk:

I love the quality of individuals here on the Forum. And in my travels I have discovered people that actually come here to read only, and my only hope is that with the amount of threads available that they will someday join and begin sharing of themselves as well.

We are the most unique people on the Web and I truly believe that we together are the future of communication and the base example of integrity and higher developing souls gathered into an eclectic whole.

The sycronicity found here is astounding and deeper than any of us comprehends at this point in time.

Now as with the sheer numbers of members there is and always will be an opportunity to fight a good fight, discuss opposing sides of each and every issue and discover the common ground even among those we do not see eye to eye with on most issues. And this is what makes the people of our discussion board gems, true and unique gems.

I think ATS is simply a little Earth.

We have people of all political views, religions beliefs, races, nationalities etc.

I think the only thing that sets us apart is that we don't let the MSM run our lives. We inform ourselves and our own community, and not take anything spewed out by News Ltd. etc. as infallible.

The people I discuss/argue/debate topics on this site are some of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of talking with.

I respect just about each and every person that posts here. I like to think and people that make me think are highly respected to me.

I deeply thank each and every one of you that talk to me, let me voice my view (even if it is wrong) and debate me in a logical straightforward manner.

The average ATSer does not exist. Each and every one of you are special and appreciated. Each and every one of you are unique and wonderful.

That is my view of the people on this site. It's a place full of great people talking about things intelligently.

I don't think there is any "stereotypical ATS user"...members are so different, different ages, sexes, races, nationalities, even languages and cultures...and of course, different areas of interest, even within the scope of conspiracies....

This is as much for me as for anyone else! I do not really know what to fathom about such a large group of people yet, as I have just recently gotten more involved in it and I'm not as familiar as many are with the community.

But I would say some of the same things already said, basically that ATS consists of an enlightened group of people or a group of people seeking enlightenment which is willing to ask questions and challenge authority if necessary in the pursuit of the answers they seek. That is a broad description, but it is sort of an umbrella for all the users to describe all users, even those interested in very different topics.

I look at ats and ats members as being those people that the saying was made for...this saying.
Theres a fine line between genius and insanity.
Sums it up for me quite well.
