WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration says it is committed to overhauling the country's financial rule book by giving the Federal Reserve increased powers to guard against the types of risks that could bring down the entire system.

Ya real good Obama. Give the Federal Reserve more power. That is all we need. It isn't like they controll enough already. Now they can just manipulate more things with out the promised "transparency" that the new administration promised.

If you want to fix the system, first you need to eliminat the problems. The key promlem is this fractional reserve system that we have and it's ability to create money out of thin air. Get rid of the fed and let the economy fix itself.

This meddeling in the economy will only bring more pain.

The Fed should be dismantled...not given more power...

Just more proof Obama is working for someone else rather than the American public...

Too much too fast will keep the headlines and people occupied while something like this grows uncontrollably.

well there's change just like Obama promised, can't say he doesn't keep atleast some of his promises. However his changes seem to have the appearance of helping things, but in the long run I believe will contribute to the instability and decline of this country.

As stated before, eliminate the problems, not give the problems more to work on, would seem to be a better business decision; woops: I forgot Obama hasn't shown us he can succesfully run a business.

Oh well there goes what little money we had left right down the thin air drain. Just wonder if the money hoarders will be able to use that money when the SHTF and money is useless.

Why am I not surprised. Why don't we just hand the keys of the White House over the the Fed and watch them burn it to the ground?

This is really getting ridiculous, dont' people see this for what it is? I mean honestly. Yup, Obama said there would be change alright, socialist, Anti-American, Pro-Big Business change.

How delightful.
