i find this funny, what are the odds, isnt that what the sonar thing is for to see things bellow? how does a ship not feel towing a submarine haha lol

You're misreading the article.

The Chinese submarine collided with the towed sonar array (AN/SQR 19, probably) that was trailing behind the destroyer. The submarine itself wasn't towed anyplace.

i thought the sonar thing was dragged by a cable, and it cough on a submarine and was dragging the sub..

The Towed Array cable can be up to 5,600 ft long. It's surprising there aren't more "incidents".
