This over unity motor could not possibly be more simple. A motor spins a magnet that's in an soft-iron ring which has two output coils wrapped around it. As the magnet spins, the magnetic flux path alternates direction and thereby induces alternating current in the output coils. 1200 watts output versus 140 watts input.

You can find a sketch and description in the 2000+ page ebook by Patrick Kelly from this site.

Does anyone know who come up with this idea and whether it's covered by a patent? Has anyone tried to build it?

I will be the last person to dismiss something as fake or junk simply because it violates known physics. Too many revolutions in science have come from "impossible" discoveries for me to even consider that.

Still, if an inventor has found an over unity design, he should build it, demo it, take his house off the grid with it and sell the surplus to his neighbors. Make it real -- not write a 2000+ page e-book with a drawing.

I'm not saying that Patrick Kelly developed the Phi Motor. Only that Kelly describes it (in about one page) of his ebook which is chalk full of useful information on a whole range of alternative energy devices and approaches. It also has a chapter on basic electricity and electronics.

can you post a direct link to this 1200 output device?

the site has so much info its impossible to find

cheers

If you go to the site.
www.free-energy-info.com...
and scroll down about one page, you'll see a section where each chapter in the book has a paragraph description with links. Just above that section is a paragraph with a link called Book Release 9.9. You can either download the entire ebook with that link or click on the link for Chapter 1. It's on page 1-13

thanks

good site btw

will try some of this stuff

Love the writers style, analogies and explanations

Studenofhistory, I apologize for the mistake. I understand your intent. I haven't had the time to fully review the e-book yet (meaning, I really haven't read it and honestly have no business commenting on it), but it does look interesting. I'll take a peek.

Until you can buy one at Wal-Mart, it doesn't exist.

You go ahead and make one that delivers the promised input and output levels, and I will buy it from you for 500 dollars American.

I don't care if it is just some wire wound around an iron core.

I will even reduce the requirements, and buy it!
As long as you can start it with a battery, and remove the battery and it keeps running for over 1 hour and lights a flashlight bulb with no external power source.

Easy Money!

While I'd very much like to try to build one of these but right now, I'm not able to do that. I was hoping that someone else would be inspired to build one. The biggest problem I see if finding a permanent magnet that is the right size for use with an iron ring. Iron rings aren't exactly easy to find unless someone knows where to go to get them.

Just lookup ferrite ring on the internet, it is a common electronics component. You probably have some which look like a lump near the end of your electrical cord, a cylindrical shape, they are often used to soakup stray radio signals picked up in by the power supply.

Thanks for that information. I queried Patrick Kelly and he told me that the iron ring has to be made from laminated iron in order to prevent flux eddy currents. I'm still hoping someone will try to replicate this device.

I'll take a look at the documentation but what's been described is simply a basic alternator. Why use a permanent magnet if the output is so much greater than the driving energy, a wound rotor with sliprings would be much better supplied via a fullwave rectifier from the output) and there's one of these in every car but I've yet to see an overunity version and doubt I ever will.

If you could construct a self-sustaining device, you could sell it for a lot more than $500.
I'd say more like $500,000,000.

It does look like it relates to Bearden's MEG. Basically extracting power from a magnet. I think Bearden used Metglas cores.

jnaudin.free.fr...

This is the closest thing to a replication I could find. I believe he was using sound frequencies to drive it.

I was offering $500 for something built out of soda cans an iron ring and bubble gum wrappers if it worked.

Yes maybe he could get a lot more for one. Even as described. But nonetheless my offer is genuine.

Sadly his chances of tapping some abundant energy source with a coil and and a metal ring are somewhere less than one over infinity. The configuration is a common component of old timey electronics.
I have never seen an old clock radio that produced OU power.

Sadly you are right, but sometimes the hardest questions have the most simple solutions. Of course Bearden's MEG is not simple by any means, but does show what can be done with the proper components.

Check out old timey crystal radios which had no on-board power source except the radio station. Now if we could just tune them to the radiant source.
