I'm sure there is a logical explanation regarding these Mars images

I'm curious as to what it might be.

check out the first and last pics under FULL FRAME EDR.

camera glitch or what?

marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov...

Apologies if this has already been addressed.

Um...sorry to sound silly, but are we suppose to be looking at the black squares and muffled black/white boxes within the images?

If so, I do believe it is a camera glitch. The other photos in the list are all the same...

Yeah. And as I thought it was probably a camera glitch but I guess
I just wanted conformation or any other explanation. Since the other
photos are the same area I don't think they are trying to hide anything
but it's just that it looked odd.

Yes I saw that and it is there in the other photos as well but a lit moved
to the right and 'smudged'. I'm not sure about the first one but the
others looks like dirt or something on the lens?

Why is it so hard to believe that there was life on Mars at one time? To me the most" logical explanation" would be that this stuff is remnants of prior life on Mars. I don't know....to me it's not logical that there wasn't or isn't life on other planets mainly Mars. It seems we have been brought up to believe that we are the only life in the universe. That's to include our Solar System. I'm a baby boomer and can tell you we were taught in science at school that we were the only life forms in the solar system.

Anyone have any ideas about the following anomalies I circled, they are from the same collection:

Does anyone else see them?

I don't discount that there may have been life on mars at one time.
I keep an open mind about this kind of thing. I'm not sure if these
pics are related to that subject or not. I just wanted others to see these
pics and see what explanation they have for whatever is showing on
the first and last photos.

I think it is just something malfunctioning in the digital image. Try to fax something without it getting a distortion or a blotch here or there. Next try to send a picture from mars.

I see what you are seeing but I'm not so sure that is a star.
But, as myendica and jkros08 pointed out there are several things
showing in that area of the photos. I'm sure as I and others have said
it's glitches or even dirt etc on the lens. At least that is what my
logical self is saying.

I see what could be dirt or whatever on the lens, but that little star lookin thing sure is a bright spec of dirt if you ask me. Looks like it could be a star or it is a UFO(Unidentified Flying Object), Not necessarily alien related...

PEACE!!!

Perhaps it is a star then. I do see that the difference in the photos show
that there is a time span of when they were taken. You can see the sky
tone is darker (the one with the white 'spec') as opposed to the brighter
sky and landscape in the other photo as posted above. Is it usual for
the rover to stay in one location that long imaging the same area where you
can clearly see the changing of the landscape in relation to the bright sky
and landscape and a twilight looking sky and shadowed landscape in the other?

I don't see why it would spend so much time in one spot unless there is something that we just don't see. It would be nice if there was a pic with more sky in it, just to see if there are any other stars in the sky. We have to keep in mind that it does take time to relay messages to the rover from earth, Maybe that is why it is in that position for so long, or it got stuck again.
I wonder how many wheels its running on now. I remember one of the rovers had a wheel or two not workin...

PEACE!!!
