Amanda Knox, Meredith Kercher, etc.

There had been a small thread on ATS consisting of a few posts regarding this case, had added a message of my own, then on the day of Amanda Knox's trial in Perugia all the messages were gone from ATS, just at the point in time when it seemed most likely a few more people would contribute and read the few posts there were.

Have no idea as to whether that should concern people or not. There didn't seem to be anything particularly objectionable about any responses, no swearing, nothing, perfectly reasonable responses mindful of ATS etiquette........then thought "the day Knox will have appeared on trial in the witness stand should result in some more additions to the thread...." ........to find the thread had disappeared. It's not there, have used ATS search engine with various words, it isn't there.

Maybe this writer is wrong. Even if one response was objectionable, that wouldn't explain deleting the whole lot.

My post expressed interest in Meredith Kercher's surname looking similar to the surname Kircher, the main name involved in keeping care of, and attempting to decipher, the Voynich manuscript, the inception of which mystery looks somewhat propinquitious (geographically) to the inception of the Meredith Kercher case, now maybe we are over-credulous, imaginatively reactive sorts, but the Voynich manuscript is the only script of such calligraphic inscrutability, which has been refused duplication and dissemination in the public domain.....you can only look at it in an American university....either way, my interest in the case has gone from contributing a post to the only small thread there was about the Kercher case, to seeing all the posts deleted that there were about the Kercher case on ATS.....is that another mystery?

Should the few people who had contributed to the thread on Kercher & Knox be notified of this? Amanda Knox is innocent, in my opinion, which was also the general drift of ATS thoughts about the Kercher case.

Hello Martin, I did not think the Amanda Knox trial would warrant much interest on ATS. Is there a conspiracy angle?
I have posted here as I noticed your mention of the Voynich manuscript and it's unavailability for scrutiny in the public domain.
I'm sure there are books containing excerpts etc which are widely available to the the general public.
Has this manuscript not already been declared a fraud?

No one knows if the VMS is a hoax, or even when it was hoaxed. Could have been Voynich, although that is doubtful from what I have read, or it could have been done long before our time. I don't know how hard it is to see the actual document for testing and analysis but the whole thing can be read, so to speak, on line.

It's a really odd book and we probably will never know the truth about it.

EDIT: Now that I have reacquainted myself with the Kercher/Knox incident, I am wondering what, exactly, other than the similar name, has this to do with the VMS? I see no connection at all.

Thanks for responding...thanks also for the links which I folowed and you are correct of course..confusion reigns!
My interest in the VM was merely idle curiosity as like you I was surprised to see it pop up in this thread.
I too see no connection, perhaps there isn't one other than as the OP says a similarity of name and location?
