Key health care senators have industry ties

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Influential senators working to overhaul the nation's health care system have investments and family ties with some of the biggest names in the industry. The wife of Sen. Chris Dodd, the lawmaker in charge of writing the Senate's bill, sits on the boards of four health care companies.

This alone goes to show that we can have no faith in our government. How can we expect those with financial ties to the bills being passed to make an accurate and proper judgement as to what is best for the people.

My personal opinion is that they should not allow anyone into office that could gain financially from any bill being passed. If we can not do that then all those with financial ties should abstain from voting or participating in the discussion or passage of a bill.

Once again the government is in it for the corporations not the people. I hope some day people will wake up and see this fraud that is impossed on the people.
