Well, over the past week we've had an abortion doctor murdered in cold blood AND a shooting at the holocaust museum. Nice work, fringe right. Those are YOUR guys doing the killing, not the liberals.

Matter of perspective. Let's say Adolf Hitler, facilitator of some 50 million deaths during WWII, was alive today and living a secluded life under a different name one block away from your home, and you knew it. Would you have the balls to go off the sonofabitch, thus exacting some small degree of justice, even if it meant you might be tried for murder?

I'm certain that a lot of people (liberals included) would jump at the chance to personally croak Der Fuehrer, preferably in as gruesome a manner as possible.

I'm also certain that a number of anti-abortion activists (who are not all "right wing") would look upon a death-facilitator in the abortion industry as only slightly less evil than Adolf Hitler. So what if abortions are perfectly legal in the United States? What the Third Reich did was "perfectly legal" under the law of Adolf Hitler.

The transient legality of an atrocity does not make it right.

I'm not attempting to justify murder, but I am attempting to demonstrate that the liberal characterization of "cold-blooded murder" applies more to the services of the abortion industry than it applies to the actions of a lone individual who passionately believed that he was exacting justice upon a mass-murderer.

If anything, the death of Dr. Tiller can more accurately be described as a hot-blooded murder, a murder of passion, which is for some reason less of a crime in our Western legal system than the cold-blooded variety of murder. "Cold-blooded" implies the cold, clinical, passionless taking of human life, the same way you might gas and incinerate 6 million Jews and call it "The Final Solution," or the same way you might abort 40+ million human lives and call it a "health care service"... It's cold-blooded genocide, people, regardless of the attempts to justify it.

So, if the thought of genocide impassions you, causes you to consider taking drastic action, then you may understand how a lone individual may take the law into his own hands to exact some small degree of justice against a perceived evil. One man's "pregnancy solution provider" is another man's Adolf Hitler.

And they aren't all that dissimilar.

While the majority of people (in the real world, not ATS) probably are republicans, the ones here on ATS are not.

Someone could have argued Obamas flawed plans for a year. There were those who still thought he was a savior. There are those who still think he is a savior...

Unemployement is still rising. The unemployement is MASKED behind the fact that those employed have lost hours, wages, and business. The economy still sucks. There has been numerous bailouts. The government OWNS car companies. Gas is going back up (in a bad economy too - huh!!?!). He wants to push a HORRIBLE health care plan. His stimulus packages were a joke, and only added more weight to the already broken system. We are still at war full out (this could be argued good or bad).

That is what I think of when someone mentions our president.

Our nation is full of idiots though. Seriously. 80-90% of this country is just dumb struck when it comes to politics, or anything in life. They could have a great career...but they still do not get it.

It truly seems that we will only get a good president when the real depression hits. Or maybe a republican president - because after these current 4 years, it will be the democrats fault! Time to shift the blame...

Despite what the right claims Obama has done none of those things... yet.

I'll tell you what he wants...and that giving a completely untransparent entity known as the Federal Reserve, which cannot account for 9 trillion dollars, even MORE control over our economy.

THAT IS NUTS.

People need to stop letting things slide because of the ego of their vote. Criticize this man. Quit giving him breaks and don't make the same mistake Republicans did with BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was glad to see this article and I am posting it because the idiotic histrionics of the right about President Obama here on ATS is reaching the point where it simply has to be addressed.

You should work for a newspaper and get inundated with calls bitching about Obama's "fake" birth certificate, etc. The stupidity is maddening.

During the eight years of the bush administration American right wingers proved to be extremely good at cultivating myths that support there own colossal ignorance . The two myths I en counted were that opposing the invasion of Iraq made you anti American and that the French were ungrateful for the role of the US in two world wars .

Cheers xpert11 .
