Not saying the martian "box" is Pyrite, but this just shows that nature CAN produce such regular geometric shapes.

Absolutely, neither would I say that the 'box' shown in the OP is pyrite, quite on the contrary ... because if it 'were', I bet someone over at NASA/JPL would have steered the rover over there to take a look, but they didn't. I'm not surprised.

Among a vast amount of uniform rocks, an example of pyrite or any other cube-like feature exposed on the surface would be something of interest. On Earth, on Mars or anywhere ... yet, there are no close-ups, even though the rover was almost next to it.

Yes, nature can produce cubes and other geometric features. But these are obviously not scattered all over the place, which makes them kind of unique. So why not look at something that's unique and distinctive? Lack of interest on behalf of NASA/JPL? I doubt it ... but all that really makes you think!
