Why does the Mayan calendar end on 2012? What is expected to happen on this date?

The mayas began the calender about 3600 years ago. They looked at the stars and their "second star at heaven" the venus.
In the year 2012 the sun will have a very special constellation which only happen all 36 000 years. You can search that in google. go under maya-calendar, nibiru, etc..
The mayas knew this and some day the calendar must end, cause they couldn´t make it forever. So they took that date, cause then the circle is complete and begin new. A good day to end a calendar or?
But as many think that its the "end of world". Thats wrong. The mayas simple called it "a time-change".

Why does our calendar end each year on Dec 31? a cycle, then another one starts, simple.

Or, how do you make a calendar which goes forever and ever? how would you display that?

The Mayans never, ever, mention anything about the end of the world, planet x, y or Z, or whatever else, this is more like someone's imagination on the works.

yep, time-changing...
but:
promot peace and love?
do you know that we stand one step infront of a big war?
Do you know that the peace you are talking about only can happen if a big war come before? Cause the people dont wanna hear peace now. They dont see it. Nobody..
I guess that we will get a war before..
And then we maybe will have peace.
But we are humans.. and humans like to kill or destroy..
Your mission is great and i wish you the best with it, but...
as i said: maybe a war will come. and then you shouldnt pray for peace: you should help the people to come to the true.. and that they dont forget what peace is....
