Watch what you say: Is ATS being monitored at large by the "powers that be"?

Just wondering if there are many individuals whom frequent this forum that feel reluctant to place comment, expressing how they feel (in a correct fashion: as explained by guidelines of posts); on 'touchy' subjects?
For example, I saw a thread that did interest me, which in not so many words, sked what weapons one would pack in times of governmental crisis or uprising.
My feelings were that I should comment. My head said: be careful whom is actually veiwing this stuff; ISP addresses can be tracked.

I have no doubt that ATS moderators etc, have the best intentions;
yet, who else is veiwing your post ?

This has long been a question here. I believe some agencys (alphabet boys) do probably hang around here from time to time but I don't think there;s a permanent ATS monitor. John Lear has also accused ATS of being a CIA clearinghouse for the general publics information level, do a search and you'll find plenty of material on this including S.O's post about IP tracking I'll dig it up if I have time.
