G20 Is Often a Magnet Protests

www.post-gazette.com

When the G-20 summit convenes in Pittsburgh four months from now the agenda is likely to reach beyond the guarded halls of the David Lawrence Convention Center onto city streets, where the effects of economic policies are felt in the lives of ordinary people from Hong Kong to Homestead.

I can't wait. I've already requested the week off from work.

If the steelworkers' union can get their members into the streets along with the rest of the anti-globalization crowd these protests are going to be HUGE.

Tea-partiers take notice. This is going to be the bash of the year. Be there or be square.

Below is a video I put together summing up the previous G-20 and looking ahead towards Pittsburgh (and well beyond).

I dedicate it to you and all those who'll eventually take the fight to PA.

From the video:

We do not oppose Unity.

We do not oppose Order.

We oppose the means by which that Unity and Order are manifested and maintained.

Greed, anger, fear, and thirst for power have failed us.

Until we have Unification without fear...without violence...without greed...

The will be No World Order.

September 24-25, 2009, the G-20 Summit comes to Pittsburgh PA, USA.

Let your voices be heard.

Stand up for our Future.

Before 9/11 the anti-globalization movement had the global elite sweating. Since then the bastards have been running amok around the world, starting wars, eroding our civil rights, and raking in TONS of money at our expense.

I was less than thrilled when I heard. ( I live in the City of Pittsburgh). Not that I am denying anyone's right to protest, organize or be heard. I just think of the colossal traffic jams...Plus I really think the city is ill equipped and understaffed to secure an event like this, not to mention our illustrious mayor who will probably be golfing while this is going on.
