It is great that he is an Iraqi, however, a few things too many members have jumped in a bit too quick. First, the kid had already been receiving his education for 6 years, since age 10, in Sweden, so his education did not come from Iraq. There are many intelligent people from all over the world.. Intelligence has nothing to do with ethnicity.

Second, something most westerners, and even Europeans have forgotten, or don't know about, is the fact that in the Middle East there have always been many ethnicities other than Arabic.

Many of the supposed discoveries made by Muslim scholars were actually done by other ethnic groups, which were later absorbed by the Muslim world once they set out to conquer the Middle East.

One of those ethnicities, and the original inhabitants of Northern Iraq, as well as part of Syria, Turkey, and Iran, and whose discoveries have mistakenly been given credit to the Arabic race, are the Assyrians.

BTW, at the end of that link it shows what has been happening to most of the ethnic groups who used to be the main inhabitants of the Middle East. What has been happening to the Assyriansis just one example.
