That is interesting, as this was supposed to be the first shuttle mission ever designed strictly for scientific study only. An interesting side note, although I am not sure if it is related, one of the pictures of the debris that they kept showing was a large golden colored ball. It looked very much like the satellite used in the sts-75 tether experiment, the one that many people believe attracted dozens of huge ufo's.
