Iran: Many die in Zahedan mosque bombing

A bomb in a mosque in south-east Iran has killed at least 15 people and wounded 50, the governor of Sistan-Baluchestan province said.

The explosion happened in Zahedan, the provincial capital, at the time of evening prayer, Ali Mohammad Azad told Iranian state TV.

He said "terrorists", who had planned to detonate more bombs, were arrested.

The province is often the scene of lawlessness, including clashes between police and drug dealers or militants.

Well for Iran being a terrorist state they sure have their own set of problems with them.Could this be linked to america funding terrorists groups in Iran? www.telegraph.co.uk... and this happening with the situation in N.korea and the media and government trying to link N.korea and Iran in some quasi way.Interesting times indeed,lets hope it is like the article says,drug dealers or some small gang and not a seperatist terrorist organization funded by the great US of A destroyer of terrorism!

A much more likely candidate for this attack is Al-'Qaida.

Up until last September, Iran held one of UBL's sons captive for a number of years, and only released him in an attempt to track him back to his father's location.

There is absolutely no love lost between the Iranian Revolution and Usama bin Laden, and Iran and AQ have extremely different views on Islam and how to best deal with the West.

Yeah. It's the Persians think Arabs are the lowest form of life on earth, and Arabs think Persians are overrated, overly arrogant camel droppings.

Just kind of warms my heart that maybe they may be getting a taste of what they enjoy dishing out.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. I wonder if it was issues between sects or the works of Western or Israeli Intelligence agents.
