What's up with everyone?

Where's all the ATS talent?

Has the ATS Music Contest been overshadowed by that dead duck, Ida, or have you all been overwhelmed with swine flu?

Don't tell me that the state of the economy prevents you from making a few minutes worth of some really groovy 'spacey twinkle' type sounds???

Nobody up for a bit of competitive fun?

Are you worried your efforts will be laughed at? I've never done this type of thing before yet I have managed to knock up a few tracks by using an online music making web site...

Come on peeps, get those tin foil hats off for a few minutes and get your groove on instead.. let's hear some of your funky stuff rock this rock of ours..

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I posted this up the same day the competition started, it took about 40 hours.
well a few long days

I have planed on giving out points to all the contestants as well, seeing I'm a Mod for that forum I thought I would be nice for a change.

Hiya Sauron.. .real good to see you ..

is the opening guitar and singing you?

How'd you knock this up?

come on 'fess up

I don't have a clue about musical notes, but i got quite a fine tuned ear when it comes to music itself.. I like the attitude in this.. it has potential

It's got a "I broke free but sometimes things get me down but i always battle back" type of feel to it.. quite earthy, with a hint of adrenalin sewn in.

Guitarist LOL there a dime a dozen hehehe don't tell my kid I said that, I'm a drummer we're at lest a buck a piece.
I was not there when my son and James the singer laid the voice track.
I lay out some drum patterns before hand that are recorded to the computer and mixed with fruity loops and some how my son pulls it all together.
The only thing that is real in this song is the lead and rhythm guitars and vocals the rest is computer generated.

Oh cool...way to go.. congrats to you all ..not a bad track..

Is the lead guitar the one that opens the song? (get's just a tad out of time.. not complaining.. i can't play guitar..only seems to be that opening sequence anyway.. but ssshhhh ...dont say anything
)

listening to it again..

The drumming makes the singer relax.. he opens up and puts a bit more confidnce into it when the drums pick up.. prior to that it sounds like they still getting used to jamming together..

quite a good song actually.. enjoying the mood.. reminds me of that song 'Shot down in a blaze of glory... ' ..whoever sung that.. but this one has a twist of something else.. a bit of GnR too i think...
