Scientists have discovered an exquisitely preserved ancient primate fossil that they believe forms a crucial "missing link" between our own evolutionary branch of life and the rest of the animal kingdom.

The 47m-year-old primate – named Ida – has been hailed as the fossil equivalent of a "Rosetta Stone" for understanding the critical early stages of primate evolution.

I just thought everyone would be fairly interested in reading about this one.Personally, IMHO, I think that it looks like a rat skeleton, but I am no expert. I know they said it was at the evolutionary time when they split into monkeys, apes, humans, and lemurs. I guess if this is truly what they are saying, the history books are going to have to be re-wrote.

Well IMO it could be nice if this was a transitional species that would prove the theory that one creature can transform over time to become a more efficient creature , as I understand the theory of evolution .
But it proves nothing to me
As far as I can tell , it's merely an extinct animal that has been previously un-known to us.

Whatever. Now we have the answers to the questions of the universe of evoution. lol. And a jaw bone of a neanderthol has been found and it has marks on it making it look like some "modern man" scraped the meat off the bones. And so now modern man ate Neanderthals to death. I love the results from the "experts". Like they really can tell something more from an ancient bone than I can. Well, hey. I am an accountant and I can tell you people have been making accounting marks since the beginning of time. And my theory is that the modern men found a dead Neanderthol and decided to use the jaw bone as a measure of accounting. I got this jaw bone, and so this is the bank, You give me five skins of a cave bear and I give you 7 otter skins, and since i can count to 10, I am the banker, and so I will record all this. Blah, blah, blah. One bone does not make a theory. Sheesh!
