NASA balloon had Arizonans wondering whether they spotted a UFO

PHOENIX (AP) - What was later identified as a NASA research balloon had some Arizonans wondering whether they had spotted an alien spacecraft. Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says he got calls about the object all afternoon yesterday. He said the object did not show up on FAA radar and was likely a balloon. Later, Bill Stepp of the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Palestine, Texas identified the object as a 4,000-pound research balloon released from a NASA organization used to measure gamma ray emissions in high altitudes.

Didn't show up on radar so it must be a balloon, go back to your koolaid people, nothing to see here.

Like the Roswell ufo was a balloon, oh and the Rendlesham Forest was a balloon, and the UFO with Aliens stepping out onto the Whitehouse lawn, thats right, a Balloon with people dressed up as aliens.

NASA have balloons? I though they were spending all their money on photoshop software * Cough * I mean trying to send a man to the moon, I mean Mars.

Nasa - Here's a little clue for you, to stop people thinking they are seeing flying saucers ( which according to you don't exist), don't use balloons, use a kite instead. and have a big 'NASA' written on the side so the local hicks don't mistake it for an alien craft...

Thanks for the laugh. I was surprised they didn't claim it was swamp gas, because as we all know Arizona is chock full of swamps.

Balloon, swamp gas, flares..... sure, whatever.

Well.. you know. .lt could also have been sewer gasses rising into the day sky reflecting off venus.. HA!
I trust NASA and baloons the way black people trust whites offering free boat rides. to the states. lol

This is what they all want us to think! Sure it's a "Balloon... how silly of me"
