Yup a great book that I just finished "On Combat" by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman deals with this subject in depth...There are "sheep", "wolves" and "sheepdogs".......sheepdogs are those that run towards the sound of the guns in defense of the sheep...Not for everybody, I can assure you...

BTW this book is a MUST read for anyone who carries a duty firearm...
