Hi everyone.

I would like global input here from everyone, what they think, what they know, etc...

Quebec city in the province of Québec, NE Canada
Google map link

First just let me throw some facts:

- We have many companies that are in the medical field, including FLU vaccine but also we are know for our research in pharma etc. There is a symposium next fall at the Chateau Frontenac:

BioContactQuébec 2009 is a biopharmaceutical partnership symposium gathering over 1000 participants.

Liste or participants: www.biocontact.qc.ca...

List of partners: www.biocontact.qc.ca...

- There is hard talks right now about a free trade agrement between Canada and European Union. Same thing than NAFTA with people mobility and so on...

Annual mutual trade between Canada and the European Union is about euro70 billion ($94 billion). "This new agreement will bring annually income gains of about euro20 billion for the two sides within seven years of its implementation," Barroso said.

www.chicagotribune.com...

The reason I mention that is because we are closer to the east where all flights from Europe are coming.

- I just heard on the radio that the airport is about to be full open to europe flight (something about a law removed where Aibrus300 could not come here, only in Montreal and Toronto) I will do some research on that and post the link.

- Montreal City is in decline right now, just google it. So, Montreal will not be the leading city in the province of Quebec anymore. The economic center of the province is moving toward Québec city.

- Just take a look at what happened at the Chateau Fronteac in relation with WW2:

The First Quebec Conference (codenamed "QUADRANT") was a highly secret military conference held during World War II between the British, Canadian and United States governments. The conference was held in Quebec City, August 17, 1943 - August 24, 1943. It took place at the Citadelle and at the Château Frontenac. The chief representatives were Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt and William Lyon Mackenzie King

Chateau Frontenac link: en.wikipedia.org...

- We have photoradars as a pilot project. This will really come in fall I think.

I almost forgot our military base, lol. The biggest in the east:

CFB Valcartier was originally erected as a military training camp in August 1914 as part of the mobilization of the Canadian Expeditionary Force at the onset of World War I.[1] The name Valcartier comes from the town of St. Gabriel de Valcartier, of which a large section was expropriated in order to create the military training camp.[2] Due to its proximity to the port of Quebec, Valcartier became the largest military camp on Canadian soil, including some 32,000 men and 8,000 horses.[3]

So in my opinion, clearly the NWO like Quebec city:

- We are reaaall sheeps.
- We are testing dummies for new drugs.
- and ... why in you opinion they like my city?

I will enjoy reading all opinions here and inputs.

Sorry for the bunch of non linear information, but there is so much to tell...

Thanks,

OMG... forgot that.

And I made a little something at that time... it's like a rememberance poster for me...

Overall, the police disguised that tried to start the riot, were wearing a local radio station logo, famous for bringing thousands on streets. This radio station war real controversy here and was telling truths element politics didn't like.

So every listener of this radio station became an icon of Angry White Young Man. That is the reason some super intelligent SQ COP guy undercover deceided to wear that T-shirt from our radio station. This is so disgusting.

I think that they like our city for the same reason we do ... it is a gorgeous small city that has all the advantages of a big city. We have very few crimes here. The climate is nice (if you like winter), Quebec is very clean city, lots of festivals and shows in the summer. Free education and health care and even a funny mayor ! We speak french here and the architecture is looking a lot like europe's. Movie that are staged in Europe are often shot here for this very reason.

How many cities can say that they are 20 minutes away from a huge nature reserve, skiing, boating, hunting, fishing.

Economicaly we could be a cornerstone of north america. We have a under used seaport that is open all year. The airport was just renovated (that is probably why they can come in A300 now) and Quebec city has one of the best un-employment rate in america.

PS: Take care driving, the photo-radar will be active on may 19. 15 in all the province and they are identified the Transport autority website.

Yeah that is true the cops used Fillion's radio-X to personify angry white mens ... but that was in Montebello ... a 4 hour drive from Quebec. I listened to radio-X, he was a good radio host but he tried to emulate shock jock like Limbough and Stern. He said stupid things, but he was shot down by the canadian government (by the CRTC) not by the NWO.

If you are in Quebec city, we should discuss this over a good beer on Grande-Allee

How can I stay focus on my job now
I'm thinking poutine and Gradde-allee ... and it's beautifull outside.

Maybe the NWO is so big on Quebec because they fear what would happen if Quebec got independant and have another way of thinking about society than the American does. I made a thread last week about how in my opinion, north america should be more like europe and have a dozen countries, united under a de-centralized economic union.

The NWO should fear that most because it would all make us more difficult to control. An independent Quebec would probably make others in north america want to separate from our large and un-manageable central governement.

So, just wondering from your sig. Are you a supporter of seperation? You don't want to stay with us?
You couldnt' really call the habs the Canadiens anymore then.

But as a newfoundlander, if you know anything about our two provinces history with each other, I can see your point, if we didn't join Canada, Quebec wouldnt' have gang raped us for our hydro

I'm a supporter of separation but not necessarily the same one as you think. I would be in favor of smaller nations. Think about Quebec and the maritimes as a independent nation. Ontario, the prairies and B-C as other countries. Maybe similar separations in the US. As an anglo-Quebecker myself, I'm having a hard time finding support for those ideas in the mainstream Quebec separation establishment.

As for ripping your hydro, I see your point, but we where raped by the canadian governement in the first place when they gave Newfoundland OUR Labrador without anything back. So we are kind of even don't you think. And the inclusion of Newfoundland in Canada was very contested in its time ... a result of 53% Yes - 47% No ... not a very clear result ... what would canada say if our referendum had that kind of result.

I had so much fun partying on St-John's main street a few years ago that I want it with me
It's right here with Grande-Allee has the most fun place in America.

Even if they like Quebec city, the next forum will be in Montreal

ADAPTING TO A NEW WORLD ORDER

We are currently going through an economic crisis that will no doubt lead to profound changes in terms of international relations. In every area, be it finance and the economy, governance, sustainable development or trade, it is vital to have a good understanding of the new global dynamics.

Focused on the central theme “Adapting to a New World Order”, the 15th edition of the International Economic Forum of the Americas/Conference of Montreal will seek to identify the strategic issues and challenges raised by this new configuration of economic and political powers.

From the list of keynote speakers who are already confirmed, the 15th edition of the Forum promises to be outstanding.

We look forward to welcoming you to the foremost economic forum of the Americas from 8 to 11 June 2009.

Thanks to the ATS member who sent me the link.

Well, well, well... Told you they like our city!

NATO arrived in Quebec
(Traduction from Google Translation)

Original in french here: www.cyberpresse.ca...

(Quebec) Quebec is on a war footing with the visit this week of a general forty countries of the Treaty Organization (NATO). An opportunity to take stock and to express the role that each state has to perform in the future.

General Andrew Leslie, commander of land forces of Canada, was honored yesterday for the choice of Quebec City as host of this annual meeting. "NATO shows its responsibility and its admiration for the soldiers from Quebec who have participated and still participating in the mission in Afghanistan, and he has shown leadership," he said.

If Afghanistan is a must for this conference, it will not be at the heart of the discussions. In this 60th anniversary of the founding of the organization, which groups 28 countries, it's time to take stock for the leaders of armies. They will discuss the perception of the role that everybody expects to play in the future and their concerns.

For Rémi Landry, military analyst at the University of Montreal, they may seek to look at the organizational structure of the armed forces in a context where the nature of war is changing. "It is now of inter-state conflicts and it requires resources and different strategies," he says. It is also the fact that some countries do not always seem to want to invest as much as in some other conflicts. This is the case of Germany in Afghanistan, which put off to commit its troops in combat zones.

High Security

It was the battle yesterday afternoon at the Chateau Laurier hotel where the leaders of armies are housed and held their discussions behind closed doors. While the Quebec Police restricted traffic on the street outside the hotel, a team of explosives experts from the Sûreté du Québec was conducting checks on the inside. A dog was also on site.

The majority of participants arrived yesterday evening at the Jean Lesage Airport to board a military plane. National Defense will obviously assist in the logistics of the meeting, which ends Thursday. Moreover, many unmarked vehicles belonging to National Defense, were stationed outside the hotel. During the week, he will get used to seeing police escorts accompany the generals in their movements.

This meeting comes exactly two months after the NATO Summit held in Strasbourg, France 3 and 4 April and attended by Heads of State.

One of the main topics on the agenda was to Afghanistan in the context where the President of the United States, Barack Obama, decided to send 17 000 soldiers and 4,000 additional instructors. The total number of U.S. troops is increased to 68 000.

In November 2006, Quebec hosted the 52nd session of the Parliament Assembly of NATO, which included some 300 elected officials in Europe and North America. The topic of the day was ... Afghanistan. At that time, the Vice-Chairman of the Assembly, Senator Pierre Claude Nolin, said it had increased from 15 to 20% the quota of 18 000 soldiers while deployed in the country, specifying that the war effort will not have to come from Canada.

Will you two please stop? Now I'm torn between a Laurentide with poutine, or an Erik's Red with fish and brewis...luckily I'm going both places this summer!!

But to the OP, I'd say this international activity in Quebec City is also a testimonial to the stability of the province.

Recall when Sun Life started the parade out of Montreal? While Viet Nam had their 'boat people', we had 'car people'...Anglos headed back down the 401 from Quebec to Toronto.

Apparently the tide has turned, mes amis
