Okay, I see the reasoning behind it now (afterall it is only one flag anyways), especially after seeing the OP's of some new threads since the induction of the "250 club".

My meaningless objection withdrawn,lol.

Why not have a nuke flag, that could represent the best post every 6 months, could generate some descent researched posts. Just a thought anyway.

Oh yeah that 250 club i see you all talking about is that some sort bbc, cause i do have black xpress card, dunno if that helps.

The main reason I see that the flagging is important is that is sets a gauge as to what to put in the newsletter as to what is "hot"

Other than that to me it doesn't really mean alot.

Personally I find that the best threads tend to "fly under the radar"

Self flagging, Hahaha..........

Sounds like something they do in Opes Dei

So people could not only flag their own threads but some thought it was OK to do so? How many times could you flag your own thread? Not even embarressed to admit it?

Funny how people always discover new lows to descend towards....

Well done folks and well done, ATS, on finally closing that absolutely gaping loop hole. Presuming that you can only flag your own thread once this still does not explain the flag count on some threads.

Oh well.

Stellar

Edit : The question you should be asking yourself, Lucidclouds, is what sort of person would try to do so in the first place? From my comments so far you can probably deduce how i feel about the 'type'. .....

Then again i guess people could create multiple accounts and flag their own threads, im sure that this happened before. They could be candidates for lab testing or they could just be serious fluoride waterholics that have swayed into the abyss of the virtual world. In any case i think this about sums it all up.

P.S. is there anyway i could flag these guys through ats as their excellence in entertainment.

What the...??

Ok so I just started two new threads. This time one was the type I rarely do, in other words, I wrote it my myself with no external content. It shows that I flagged it, but I did not. The Flag Icon appears totally blacked out like normal when you flag a thread.

The other was in BAN, using external content. And it has the new "fuzzy flag" indicating no flag option.

So what's the deal? The one I wanted to flag is fuzzed, and the one I didn't want to flag (the first one) got flagged automatically. LOL. I was wondering if SO made it so any new thread you start is automatically flagged? And maybe that he hasn't recoded BAN forum yet to do the same? What's going on?
