edited to ad:
NBC has at least two disaster miniseries in the works as well:
The Storm and Meteor.

Has anyone checked the programming on the other networks to find out if they are doing anything similar?

Will this just end up being a cheap "Jericho" wanna-be or is NBC trying to send us a message to be prepared for world-wide upheaval and disaster?
I was not able to find any other reports on this new series other than that previews will be shown during the upcomming winter games.
Does anyone plan on watching at least the first episode to see what this is all about? I'm curious what comanies will advertise during the progam as well.
What are your thoughts?

Day One will be on NBC and will start after the Winter Olympics (midseason).

It is post-apocalyptic, but it is also a sci fi story.

Thank you Gwen Champagne for finding my post. Us Jericho fans need something to watch on TV anyhow.

Let's keep up with any news, facts or rumors about Day One or any new shows like it here.

NBC has yet to announce their full schedule. It appears this series will be featured in the 2009/2010 season, but it is not known when. The announcement will probably come next week.

I watched Jericho on tv religously, and was mad they took it off...only for me to find out I can watch the repeats on youtube, lol

You know, I really want someone to remake "Red Dawn" with a modern feel, even though I loved the original, and still have the vhs and dvds of it.

I have a feeling that this not going to be another Jericho.

I don't watch television but my brother taped those shows for me and we laughingly called them our nuclear war primer for dummies.

Jericho was too real and the characters were too patriotic. They were about holding on to America at all cost.

This looks like it is more about teenagers just trying to get through the moment, not about people trying to take back control of their country even if it means fighting and dying for it.

Jericho had to go because it spoke to the wrong group of people.

This looks like the aftermath bubble gum style.

It also has the feel of the online video series 2009 A True Story.

I doubt if I will be watching tapes of this; unless of course they prove me wrong.
