Very interesting though not brand new. From the article:
"The military got so-called scanned-beam technology off the ground in the 1980s, producing helmet-mounted displays to improve fighter pilots'
field of vision."
I see this as having the potential to drastically reduce training time for the medical field among others. As a person is working on
something/operating on somebody, they see the actual subject with their eyes but have an image of what the subject/object should look like
superimposed on their monocle.
