Leasing a place in HollyWood. Some local advice?

I just signed and paid my lease for my house in Holly Wood LA. I'm coming from Washington DC and have never been out to Cali before. I'm just curious about the area im going to be in. I have a general idea, but id like to hear from a locals perspective. I really didn't have much of a choice due to the prices and also the location of my school, but i did do some research and found that it can get pretty sketchy anywhere in Hollywood.

The area ill be in is 90038 closer to the cemetery.. I cannot find a name for that specific area...Is it just Hollywood?

What should i expect?

Either way, its a done deal and i cant wait to get out there!

I have family who live in Hollywood knolls, and it is apparently a great place to live. The did say however, there is a lot of robberies in Hollywood, so make sure you have locked everything up good and proper.
