Iranian Arms ship torpedoed and sunk

An Iranian vessel laden with weapons bound for the Gaza Strip was torpedoed off the coast of Sudan last week, allegedly by Israeli or American forces operating in the area, the Egyptian newspaper El-Aosboa reported on Sunday.

Anonymous sources in Khartoum told the newspaper that an unidentified warship bombed the Iranian vessel as it prepared to dock on Sudan before transferring its load for shipment to the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.

These sources said they suspects U.S. or Israeli involvem

Unusual story coming from Egypt.
Surely if true, it would of generated headlines around the world.

Couple this with the Iranian news story about cancelling and air show due to Israel action, makes you wonder just what is going on in that part of the world between arch foes.

can you spell clandestine.... that mean no one saw or heard anything.
or they hope no one saw or heard anything. you only see in the news what your supposed to see.

although it can be laden with propaganda these foreign news sources can be rather reliable due to lack of governmental influence.

The quote that says US officials confirmed IAF involvment talks about Sudan trucks convoy, not this new ship incident. And Iran spoke about Sudanese trucks, too. I doubt very much that they would be silent about their own ship being sunk.

being an isreali news source its rather amusing. it looks like they blow their horn but don't lay claim to the noise.

if a ship sunk it was likely a accident from some stupid sailor smoking in the hold with a bunch of explosives or one of the many other causes that sinks ship around the world daily.
