It's been a rough several months, and that's no lie. On top of everything else, this morning I woke up to news of the declared state of
emergency.
Within about two hours I was queasy, fatigued, had a headache... checked my temperature, and it was up by a fractional amount, to 99.5.
Our state has had no reported cases of the swine flu, and I haven't been in contact with anyone, at all--seriously, no one. My instinct is that this
is a form of anxiety/hysteria, but I'm really scared that it might be more than that.
On the other hand, I don't have a single other symptom of the flu other than a reallyreally mild fever and a little fatigue, and I know enough about
this stuff to honestly feel like a bit of an idiot for getting so worked up about it, really.
I guess this is just one of the things that the mind can do under stress, but... would be nice to know if anyone else has had similar experiences...
