Three Amigos

I'm getting an xbox 360, a high def t.v., and a home theater system. Now, the t.v. I'm wanting to get has 4 hdmi hookups but just 1 optical audio output and no headphone jacks and the theater system I was getting has an hdmi hookup but no optical audio inputs BUT has a headphone jack. What I was thinking is can I hookup my 360 and theater system to the t.v. using hdmi cables and have everything work correctly? Could I use my headphones with those hooked up the way they are?

You'll almost have to route your surround sound through the gaming system, and then to the TV, so that when the game sends an audio or video signal to the TV, that it gets transmitted correctly. Does the 360 you have have an input and an output HDMI connection on the back?
