I studied 3D Design a few years back at University and my lecturer predicted that the household will have something like this within 10 years, and that was 3 years ago, at the time i agreed that something would appear one day, but i never expected it to be as soon.

He also predicted that within our lifetimes we'd be working, living and talking to robot's of some form or another.

Haha.

3d printers have been around longer than 3 years
people have been saying this for a long time but it doens't get any cheper or close to reality unfortunately as the resins used and are pretty damn expensive.

Just saw this over at hackaday : hackaday.com... .

This guy is using plaster and some kind of glue in the inkjet nozzles.
