Micro levitating bot

Have any of you seen the "Floating beer-bottle" advertisements they used to have at bars?

In the cap of the beer bottle was a magnet, above the beer bottle was an electromagnet and an optic switch. If the bottle got too close to the electromagnet, it would reduce power, if it got too far, it would increase power.
The result was what appeared to be a hovering beer bottle.
You could even spin it, and it would keep spinning all day because there's no friction to stop it.

I'd see people staring at it for quite some time trying to figure out how it stays in mid-air.

actually no I have never seen one of those hmmm e_e maybe its before my time I am 25.
