Russian warlords & their blood-thirsty allies wish to play big roles in the wars to come. They love to destroy people of all ages.

Russia has successfully test-launched a PC-12M Topol intercontinental ballistic missile, Russian news agencies have reported. [...]

"The dummy warhead has hit a designated target at the Kura testing grounds on the Kamchatka peninsula with the desired precision," the RIA Novosti quoted Alexander Vovk, aide to the commander of the Strategic Rocket Forces as saying.

The spokesman further pointed out that the launch has allowed the extension of Topol's service life to 22 years.

"The launch has been conducted under a program to extend the operating life of Topol missile systems. Its purpose is to confirm the stability of the main flight and technical characteristics of the missile systems during the extension of their operating life," Interfax cited him as saying.

The missile was produced in 1987 but remained on combat duty until August 2007.

Interesting article, thanks.

Too bad its presented in such a biased way, without any elaboration as to why.

Good for the Ruskies
The U.S. and Russia haven't developed a new ICBM since the cold war. They need this because instead of being one step ahead of China, now they are two because they have extended the life of an already excellent missile. I hope to see the United States soon develop a new ICBM, to keep the deterrence and to help keep peace between the superpowers.
