Officers said they appeared to have been killed by their father, who was found dead at a location in King County earlier on Saturday, Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesman Ed Troyer said. After the father was found dead, officers went to the Pierce County home located in the 20400 block of 135th Avenue Court East to check on the welfare of the children and found them slain. The five children, ages 6 to 17 years old, appeared to have died of homicidal violence, Troyer said. There were four girls and one boy, who was 7 years old. Officers are at the scene.
